Mosaic Strings provides live string music for weddings, corporate events, private parties, and community performances throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Whether it is a proposal at Baker Beach, an intimate wedding in Napa Valley, a large wedding at the Flood Mansion, or a company event downtown, we have an ensemble ready to fit the occasion.
Our musicians perform in a wide range of styles and genres, from classical repertoire to contemporary selections, and we offer flexible ensemble options to suit different event sizes, settings, and atmospheres. A solo string instrument is a simple, yet elegant option for your event. Solo performances showcase the unique sound of the instrument you choose for the event: violin, viola or cello. Solo strings do have their limitations, as there is no other instrument to provide any harmony. If you prefer the simplicity of a strolling violin, or prefer backing tracks to go with the solo musician, please let us know when you reach out, as that has some additional costs.
String Solo
Most commonly violin and cello, but with 2 violins or violin and viola as options, this combination works for more intimate settings.
String Duo
The happy medium between duo and quartet, the trio has more complex harmonies while still having a lighter texture.
String Trio
Fullest sounding string ensemble, the combination for which many arrangements are originally made, and classical pieces written, due to its balanced combination of higher and lower string instruments and ability for four-part harmony. Recommended for weddings, events in larger spaces, and elegant settings.
